These anthurium earrings use silvered Czech glass beads to serve as the spadix of the plant, and hammered anticlastic valentine shaped pieces of sterling silver to represent the waxy, textured form of the spathe. Althought the spathe and spadex together are often thought of as the flower of the anthurium, in truth tiny flowers grow off of the spadex—the broad form of the spathe, however colorful in nature, is in fact just a colorful leaf.
